New Design Project: Transportation
“ Your challenge is to design a bio-inspired transporter toy to engage and delight 4th graders!
You will choose an animal with a distinctive motion and behavior to inspire your toy design. Animals “transport” different things for different reasons. For instance, koala bears transports their young on their backs as they climb, and ants clamp onto and transport food with their jaws. Whichever animal you choose to inspire your design, you must be able to deliver a motion or behavior with character that others can understand and appreciate when they see your final prototype in action. Your designs will also have to meet the project requirements posted separately.”
